The Associate of Applied Science in Crime Victim/Survivor Services degree prepares graduates for entry-level positions in crime victim advocacy and fills a critical demand in the local victim services community. Individuals victimized by criminal acts, their families, and the community, need support and intervention from trained professionals in the areas of crime victimization, trauma, crisis management, intervention, safety planning, risk assessment, and victim support. Crime Victim Advocates work with victims of crime, including sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, human trafficking, child maltreatment, elder abuse, and homicide, etc., to offer a wide array of services and trauma-informed support to facilitate hope, healing, and justice.

Graduates often enroll in bachelor's degree programs in social work, psychology, sociology, and criminal justice. OSU-OKC’s innovative Crime Victim/Survivor Services degree program is the only one of its kind in the state and one of only a handful in the nation. Our experienced faculty provide students with the education and skills needed to begin a rewarding career in crime victim advocacy. The degree also provides an opportunity for those currently working in the field, or in an allied field, to maintain and/or upgrade their education and training.
